Working with others
Automations
Rules, webhooks, assistants and place links that do the busywork for you.
Rules
A rule watches your tasks. When something happens to a task, the rule does one thing to it. Pick the event and the action from the menus.
Open Settings, find Rules and press Add rule. Rules run on the server, so they work even when your devices are off.
Webhooks
A webhook tells another service or your own script when a task or note changes. Press Add webhook in Settings and paste the address to send to.
Each webhook has a Signing secret, so the other end can check the message really came from Marbler. Press Send test to try it. Webhooks are part of Marbler Plus.
Assistants
An AI assistant can add, read and finish your tasks for you. In Settings, find Address for an assistant. Add that address as a connector in your assistant, then press Allow when it asks.
For your own scripts, press Create token instead. Keep the token secret, like a password. Sign out all apps takes access away from every assistant and token at once.
Place links
Place links let your phone's own automations tell Marbler when you arrive at or leave a place. Each place gets a private link. Set them up in Settings under Location reminders on your phone.
Your phone opens the link, and the reminder rings. Marbler is never told where you are.
Voice assistant on iPhone
Settings has a link for the iPhone's shortcuts. Add it, then ask your phone's voice assistant to add a task, and it lands in Marbler.
