Privacy

What Marbler keeps, who can see it, and how to take it with you or delete it.

Where your data lives

Your tasks and notes live on your device first. A copy goes to the server so your other devices stay in sync.

What the server keeps

  • Your email address.
  • How you sign in: a scrambled form of your password, a passkey, or the account you signed in with.
  • What you put in Marbler: tasks, notes, lists and files.
  • Your plan. Card numbers are never stored by Marbler.
  • Events from calendars you connect.

How it is protected

  • Every connection is encrypted.
  • The server's disk is encrypted.
  • Backups are encrypted.
  • Keys for calendars you connect are encrypted a second time.

Your data is not end-to-end encrypted. The people who run the server could read it. If you want that to be only you, you can run Marbler on your own server.

No tracking

Marbler has no ads, no analytics and no tracking pixels. It uses one cookie, to keep you signed in.

AI

AI features are off unless they are turned on for your account. The first time, you confirm you are 18 or over. Only the words you choose are sent. Anything made by AI is labelled, and nothing is saved until you say so.

Take it with you or delete it

You can export all your data at any time. You can also delete your account. Deleted data can be restored for 30 days, then it is erased for good. See Your account.
