Everyday
Tasks
Add tasks in plain words, set dates, repeats and reminders, and find them again.
Add a task
Press n on a computer, or tap + on a phone. Type the task and press Enter.
You can write the date and time in plain words. Marbler picks them out as you type and highlights them:
- "pay rent on the 15th"
- "call the dentist tomorrow at 9am"
- "water the plants every friday"
- "check the oven in 2 hours"
- "tidy the garage this weekend"
Tap a highlighted phrase to keep it as part of the title instead. If you never want this, turn off Understand dates in plain words in Settings.
Quick marks while typing
- Priority: add "p1", "p2" or "p3", or "high priority" at the start or end.
- A list: add "/" and the list name, like "/groceries".
- A tag: add "#" and a word, like "#work".
- No date: add "/nodate".
Task details
Open a task to see everything about it. You can set:
- Due date and time.
- Repeat every… or Repeat after finishing.
- Priority.
- Subtasks: small checkboxes inside the task.
- Tags.
- Reminders.
- Description, with attachments and voice notes.
The task menu also has Pin, Duplicate, Won't Do, Save as Template, Convert to Note, Copy Link and Print.
Repeating tasks
Use "every" in the add box, like "every monday" or "every 2 weeks". The words "daily", "weekly", "monthly" and "yearly" also work at the end of the line. When you finish a repeating task, the next one appears.
Reminders
Open a task and add a reminder. Pick how long before the task it should ring. You can add more than one.
- Nag me repeats the reminder until you mark the task done.
- Place reminders ring when you arrive at or leave a place. See Marbler on your phone.
You can also type a reminder in the add box, like "remind me 30 minutes before".
Views
The side panel has a few ready-made views: Today, Next 7 Days, Inbox and all Tasks. Make your own with New smart list. Type what you want in plain words, like "work stuff due this week".
The Display menu changes how a view looks. Show it as a list, a board, a priority grid or a table. Sort and group by date, priority, name or list.
Search
Press / or use Search in the side bar. Search finds tasks, notes, tags and lists.
Undo a delete
Deleted tasks go to Recently deleted. You can open it from the side panel or from Settings. From there you can restore them. They stay there for 30 days.
